Their ice cream is incredible!
I know they offer way more but so far I’ve only walked in for a few scoops of their delicious ice cream flavors.

Staff is really friendly and don’t mind getting out their way to take my quick order, even if it’s a full house!

Hands down the best seafood platter I’ve ever experienced. Fresh seafood, wonderful flavours and not too much deep fried food that you might normally see on a seafood platter.

We were really looking forward to the $170 seafood platter, especially considering the relaxed setting and overall lovely vibe.
However, the seafood platter was quite different from what we had imagined. It was more a tapas-style experience, which was perfectly fine and explained to us that the dishes would come out separately and no particular order. Unfortunately, the dishes arrived far too quickly and we had to ask the staff to slow things down as the speed was overwhelming.
There was plenty of food and most of it was rally good however little things like the chips were soft and cool, but that in itself was a minor issue.
The biggest disappointments were the deep-fried Crab and the Moreton Bay Bug. Draw cards for our decision in selecting this dish.
The crab was liquid inside when we opened it, which I couldn’t stomach. The Moreton Bay Bug was overcooked and heavily salted rendering it also inedible.
Overall, there was plenty of food and some enjoyable dishes, but the rapid serving took away from the experience. A degustation-style seafood meal truly would have been much better if each dish arrived at the right pace allowing us to enjoy the meal.
The restuarant wasn’t busy so there was definitely an opportunity to regulate speed and check how we were going. with each dish.
I hope the owners have a think about this as their location is excellent and potential amazing but there’s clearly some issues that need to be looked at having read the other reviews now also.

We had the seafood platter which comes out tapas style. Each dish had its own exquisite flavour. Highly recommend. You’d pay significantly more for that level of food in the big cities. Had seen some reviews re poor service but can say ours was excellent.

Lovely find on a Sunday afternoon. Food was absolutely amazing. Ok. It was raining and the service was a little slow - but still. The place I would come back to and eat again in Australia!

We had a wonderful time at Charlie’s Beach House – especially our kids!

The hot chocolate was honestly one of the best we’ve ever had, and our children absolutely loved it. The coffee was fantastic too, and the ice cream was delicious as well.

Another highlight for the kids was the huge parrot enclosure. The parrot seems to have a pretty comfortable home there and was great fun to watch. 😊

Prices were very fair – in fact, we even ended up paying less than we expected based on the menu.

Great drinks, delicious ice cream, fair prices and a lovely atmosphere. Definitely worth a visit!

Great place next to the beach. A little pricy but that is all over this town. Enjoyed the food and a nice glass of wine. Yummy chicken cheeseburgers.
