Our day with Hooked Up and Gerard at Mission Beach was absolutely incredible! From start to finish, it was clear that Gerard is not only a highly skilled and knowledgeable captain but also passionate about providing his guests with the best experience possible. The fishing was outstanding—we caught an impressive variety of fish, including Red Emperor, Coral Trout, Doggies, Yellowfin Tuna, Spanish Mackerel, GTs, and Nannygai. Gerard knew all the perfect spots, and his expertise ensured that everyone on board was landing fish and having a great time. Whether you’re an experienced angler or a beginner, Gerard makes it exciting and rewarding for all. One of the unexpected highlights of the trip was a magical swim at a pristine sand cay. It felt like paradise—a perfect way to cool off and soak in the beauty of Mission Beach’s incredible surroundings. Gerard’s boat, Hooked Up, was spotless, comfortable, and well-equipped with everything we needed. He also made sure we were well looked after with plenty of refreshments and good vibes all day long. This was hands-down one of the best fishing charters we’ve ever been on. If you’re looking for a fun, action-packed day on the water with a friendly, knowledgeable guide, Gerard and Hooked Up are the absolute best. Took my teenage son on a full day reef trip. We were really well look after and caught some cracking fish. Had a fantastic day with Gererd who really looked after us, particularly my son. Highly recommend it if you are looking for a great reef fishing trip.

Had an awesome day fishing with Gererd on Hooked up Fishing. Caught some great fish, enough to bring back to camp and some left over to take home to NSW. Gererd certainly knows his stuff, was informative, helpful and entertaining the whole day. The boat is great to fish from and extremely comfortable when travelling to and from the reef. Thoroughly recommend Hooked Up if you are looking for a fun day fishing.

Had an awesome day on the reef with Gererd. Great skipper and great boat. He was so good with my young fella and knew where the fish were. We got on to Spanish Mackerel, coral trout, a few reds and a heap of others. I'll be hitting him up again when in Mission beach next. Highly recommend.

What a fantastic trip. If you want to get on the fish and hook up all day these guys are the ones to see. Gerard kept on finding the fish. Our group caught keepers of six different species including Spanish mackerel, coral trout, purple cod, tomato cod, and other desirable and tasty varieties. If I could give six stars I would.

Went out with Gererd and Mick last week for a full day fishing charter. Had the best day with amazing weather. Caught great fish and snuck in a dip on a remote sandy cay. Best way to spend a bday. Thanks gents

Wow what a day. By far the best charter I have ever been on. We did a half day private charter with my wife and 2 young boys (6 and 8) Conditions were not great but the boat was extremely smooth and well set up. As soon as we anchored up we were on. Spanish and spotted Mackerel, tuna, trevally, trout, cod and more that I can't even name. Gererd was fantastic, long time local and it really showed he knew all the spots and what we would catch at them. He worked non stop helping us all rig up, bait and get the 40 odd fish we caught off. We caught fish with lures, frozen and live bait. Learnt so much from Gererd. We kept enough fish to feed us for a week and boy was it tasty. We will 100% be back.

Brilliant day on the water, snagged some monsters with the boys, gorging on spanish mackerel and red emperor for the next few days! Great boat and top notch gear. Gererd is an all round good bloke, knows the reef well and helped get my young fellas hooked up. Thanks Gererd!

Thank you to Gererd for a fantastic experience out on the water with Hooked up charter. He was a truly energetic and helpful host that tailored and adapted our trip to suit our family. We got to see some beautiful sites, had lots of fishing action and as a bonus came home with a catch for dinner!
