We had a fantastic meal.
The portions were more than generous, the service was great, and the food was really good. Special thanks to Valentine for her service, her recommendations, and her smile.

Gorgeous location on the beach and superb vegetarian platter.

Staff friendly but a bit gormless and the paper menu included a beer that was unavailable. Staff member didn’t mention that at the time of ordering. Had to go and ask for my Chardonnay to be brought to the table as Monsieur already had his (excellent) replacement German beer.

The view of the beach and ocean to the efficient service and delicious food were all great and will go back again next time we are in Mission Beach also being dog friendly was another drawcard for us as we had our Dachshund Otto who was made very welcome at Charlie's Beach House.

Great location overlooking the beach where the skydivers were landing. Ordered a chicken burger which was cold and undercooked… yuk! He had a pork belly burger which he said was tasty but also cold. Wouldn’t recommend the food but would recommend the location.

The servers were wonderful, helpful and so kind. The food was beautiful with a slightly longer wait 1+ hrs, however I didn’t love how the chef would yell at and speak to the waitresses, not necessary whatsoever. The servers did a wonderful job considering the way they are spoken to.

Lovely place, doesn’t deserve 3.9! Gorgeous food, very exotic, creative, tasty and quality! Staff was very nice and caring despite being busy! Yes we waited a bit for the food but what’s the rush? We had plenty of time to talk and meet gorgeous Eddy the parrot! We recommend it!

Had dinner and a couple drinks here on Saturday night. This place had a great vibe! Live music (easy listening), right on the beachfront with a view, food was awesome - smoked Caribbean nachos. A selection of drinks I’d never seen which was good because it made me try something new (Hemingway’s Canecutter Lager 👌). Staff were all so friendly and accommodating. I’ve already recommended this place to friends and I’ll definitely come back if ever in the area again.

This place is the place to eat,relax and enjoy mission beach. The owner is the chef and he’s good and very accommodating making you feel part of the family. Keep up the great work hope to see you guys again .

We stopped into Charlie’s Beach House this past weekend while out for a walk along Mission Beach. The smell from the smoker caught our attention and the menu looked great, especially for the kids. It wasn’t until afterwards that I saw some of the mixed feedback, which honestly surprised me a bit given our experience.

We walked in with a group of 10, including 4 young kids, and were pleasantly surprised to get a table straight away. The location is hard to beat, right on the beach with that laid back tropical beach shack vibe.

The menu had plenty to choose from and catered really well for the kids, with huge portion sizes that were great value. Everything we ordered was delicious, particularly the burgers which were all really tasty. The drinks and food overall were really enjoyable, though there was a noticeably long wait time given the place wasn’t full by any means. It didn’t bother us too much on this occasion as we were in full holiday mode and soaking up the atmosphere, but it is probably worth keeping in mind if you are arriving super hungry or on a shorter schedule.

Service was a little disorganised and at times felt a bit chaotic, but still friendly enough that it did not take away from the overall experience. Prices felt reasonable for the portion sizes which were definitely on the larger side, so we left full and satisfied.

Overall, it is a cute, relaxed, beachside cafe with great food, awesome drinks and a cruisy vibe. Perfect for a casual meal or cocktail by the ocean!

Came across Charlie’s by chance whilst out wandering - looked so relaxing we had to stop for a drink, which grew to dinner! Thoroughly enjoyable! Food was delicious, pulled pork nachos so good!! And a beautiful view out over the ocean to watch the afternoon turn into night!

Delicious array of exotic foods to try. Friendly staff and an incredible beach side location, perfect to come with friends and family. Sometimes there's live music and the vibe is incredible 😁
