Hooked Up Fishing Adventures

5 out of 5 stars 100%. I recently did a day charter sports fishing with Gererd of Hooked Up Fishing Adventures Mission Beach. Gererd agreed we would target a GT Giant Trevally. First up catching live bait near beautiful Dunk Island and no time lost Gererd was straight to them. Then off to his first spot for live baiting. I thought if I was super lucky we might get one today, but after only half an hour Gererd had me hooked up to a GT of a life time. After a solid fight I got to hold it and they took photos and videos, then the joy of releasing such an awesome fish. Next up top water lure fishing on the reef resulting in hooking 3 super fast Spanish Mackerel. Also along the way we did some bait fishing resulting in 7 good sized and good fighting Nannigai. Then it was back to see if we could get an upgrade on the GT and sure enough Gererd soon had me tussling with a monster GT, boy what an experience. This is a top charter and the fishing here is excellent. Gererd is a hell of a nice guy with a sense of humour and great with everyone. He cares for his clients and works hard for you. He would be ideal with kids, a family, for share charters or if you're an experienced fisho! His boat is solid,safe,tidy,fast and stable. The electric motor on the bow holds you over the fish and gives you so much more fishing time versus anchoring up each time. His fishing tackle and gear is first class. If you're even considering going out JUST DO IT! You'll be lucky to find as good a fishing or charter anywhere else. I've done about 20 characters in Australia and my first pick is to go out again with Gererd.You will have a fantastic day and make memories for a life time. Isn't that what life's about?

Gererd took us out on two separate occasions over the week, once to the reef and once around the isalnds. We caught enough fish to feed 8 for the week! Local knowledge helped us nail some incredible fish. Awesome experience, would highly recommend.

We recently went on the half day fishing charter with Gerard. My partner and I loved it and had such an awesome day. Gerard is a legend and runs a top-notch operation… super clean boat, great fishing gear and company. His knowledge of fishing and the best spots on the reef are second to none.

We had the best day… catching plenty of fish. The showstopper of the day was a Spanish Mackerel!!

We booked a half day fishing with Gererd and couldn't have been happier. Very friendly and eager to please. His knowledge of the area meant we went home with a good catch. The boat was clean and neat and the gear all looked new. just don't tell everybody - I want to be available next time we visit!

Veronica, Sophia and myself had an amazing half day charter with Gererd! Professional and down to earth with a great sense of humour! Could not recommend this charter any higher. Plenty of great fish caught, great gear, great boat and a relaxed atmosphere. We are already planning our next trip with Gererd out to the reef later in the year.

We had a great day with Gererd. Caught some big Spanish Mackerel and other species such as coral trout and small mouth Nannygai. We had a beautiful swim on a sand cay and saw turtles which was a huge highlight. All in all a great day and would recommend.
