Mamu Tropical Skywalk

We bought discounted tickets whilst at Paronella Park. As it was mid afternoon and school holidays were over, the car park was very empty when we arrived at the Skywalk. This suited us fine . The staff were lovely, the walk beautiful, but the flies at the entrance were awful. Once we had Deet on board the pesky insects kind of left us alone. We enjoyed our time on the walk and found a tree which resembled chewy's leg. See if you can find it too. Over all we enjoyed the scenery, nature and a high walk through the trees.

Once again, there's nothing better than randomly discovering a place you've never heard of and having a fantastic time! First up, and something I'm trying to be more conscious of in my reviews, there is a long disability ramp leading from the parking area to the entry. Within the rainforest itself, there are multiple pathways, veering off and on the main walkway, that provide a lower grade (flatter/level) approach to the lookout tower. The tower itself is only accessible by stairs, however, but the views from its base are still breathtaking. To echo the sentiment of many others, John and Lyn are legends. John is very knowledgeable and safety conscious (2-way channel 26, kids!), while Lyn was happy to chat about everything from local attractions to grandkids and crocheting. A lovely couple indeed! The walk/park experience itself was wonderful. Scenic, tranquil, and utterly relaxing. The multiple info boards throughout the park help explain what you see on your travels, and really clarify the true complexities of forest existence (a battle for supremacy and survival at many levels). You will encounter animals along the way, and we witnessed many butterflies and birds, as well as a lizard that scurried across the path. No cassowaries, though, but that's maybe a good thing! Last but not least, ice blocks and drinks are also available, and toilets are located at the entry/exit point. It's wise to go before you commence your journey. Overall, Mamu Tropical Skywalk is a highly rewarding, affordable way to spend a couple of hours. It's a great way to immerse yourself in nature while simultaneously getting some exercise. Best of all, register your name and details and you're eligible for free entry for the next two years, should you return!

Unbelievable views, easy walk and great parking for RVs

This excellent skywalk is exceptional value for money. We've seen a lot of rainforests and done various canopy walks, and debated whether to go. It was fantastic, well maintained, very informative and much longer than we expected. We could have easily spent 3 or more hours. Birdlife great too.

What a great place to visit on a sunny day when everyone else was probably at the beach 😉 A wonderful welcome from Lisa (be sure to say hi to her), seamless and informative entry to the walk and then an hour or so wandering along the rainforest tracks, viewing platforms and tower lookout. Magnificent views of the Johnstone river, the rainforest canopy and this beautiful lush country. Put this on your sightseeing list!

What an excellent attraction. The walkways were clearly marked and accessible to all. The tropical canopy has to be seen to be believed. The elevated walkway wad magnificent as was the cantilever walkway. The accompany audio, via a phone app, worked the whole time and was very informative. The added bonus was the cassowary we encountered. A must do for all visitors to the area
