Highly recommended! From the moment we were picked up, all the best vibes! Everything was a very nice mix of competency and friendly/humorous. From the safety briefing onbord the Bus, the quick training in the raft, the time on the Barron River, until the End. We loved our rafting trip! Lots of flies that love tasty blood wear bright colors. Worth the long drive from cairns. Don’t listen to dumb reviews the guides make it fun! Our guide got us thrown in the water multiple times. They did it safely. A little toooo safe in our opinion. rafting is for danger in a good way! Go to Disney land kooks! Fear is the mind killer! We don’t dig boring rafting trips!

We had such an incredible time! Despite the mosquitoes, it was an unforgettable experience. Our captain, Tom, was the highlight—so funny and full of charm. We’ll definitely ask for him when we go rafting again! Hopefully next time I’ll gather the courage to jump in and swim, haha. Please give our warmest regards to Tom.(love from China😍)

Great vibes + great experience! First time White Water Rafting and it was awesome! Our guide Kye kept the trip fun/entertaining, cracking jokes the whole time haha, and had great energy! Definitely recommend giving this a try if you've never done it before, you'll have sooo much fun!

I have rafted in NZ twice and thought it couldn't get any better...but Tully Gorge definitely topped NZ! Raging Thunder were very professional and I felt perfectly safe in Paul's hands! My only advice to people considering rafting is to ensure your level of English is good enough to understand and respond to instructions quickly. Your safety, and that of your fellow rafters depends on it.

Had the most amazing experience whitewater rafting with raging thunder, can't recommend this highly enough! Our raft guide Tom is an absolute legend, he made sure that we had an epic and fun time whilst making sure we were all safe throughout the journey. Can't wait to return and do it all again sometime!

What an experience! I enjoyed the full day out on the Tully. From the moment we boarded the bus to Tully, the fun didn’t stop until we were safely returned to our accommodation, pretty much in one piece. We were lucky enough to have not one, but two kick ass River Guides, Mat and Tom, leading us down the Tully. Mat and Tom were able to perfectly balance the jokes/banter (ensuring we enjoyed every minute), the info sessions (allowing us to fully understand what makes the land and water so special), and safety. While the rafting itself was an exhilarating experience to say the least, and while you truly are at the mercy of the rapids, Mat and Tom kept us feeling safe for the entire journey. We were even lucky enough to experience the chaos of a raft flip in a controlled setting! 10/10 experience, the highlight of our trip to Cairns, and I can’t wait to do it again! Thanks to the guys at Raging Thunder!!

What an amazing experience 👏 we had our guide, "Sexy Paul", take us through a very meticulously navigated, thrilling and beautiful white water rafting journey. He was super knowledgeable about his craft and the waterways, and made our whole boat of differing nationalities feel so comfortable and connected. The utmost attention and effort was paid to ensuring our safety and that we enjoyed our experience - so much so one of our boat members who had never swam before slid down a water rapid by herself. It was a great day and we all walked away with cups a little more full. Big love.

Rafted the Tully yesterday with Angelo. Probably the best day of my trip to Cairns. The river was beautiful and couldn’t have asked for a better Captain.

An incredible experience! Our guide Kristian was super skilled and really funny too. The river is fantastic and the guides really know how to make the experience exilerating but also keep you safe. The water was a nice cool temperature and the environment is absolutely pristeen. We were super lucky to see a Cassowary on the banks of the river! We have rafted overseas but this was the best by far. My partner and I live locally so will be back again.
