Spicy Thai Hut

We made a reservation three hours in advance for four people and were really impressed with the quality of the food, it was easily one of the best Thai meals we’ve had. Everything we ordered was delicious, especially the prawn starter, which was a standout. The mains, Pad Thai with prawns, Massaman Curry and Chicken Cashew were all packed with flavour and beautifully cooked.

That said, a couple of small things held us back from giving five stars. The large rice portion was surprisingly small, especially considering the higher-end pricing of the food. Also, while we didn’t mind waiting, the main courses took around an hour to arrive, and it would have been nice to be told this in advance rather than left wondering when our food would come.

Other than that, the atmosphere was lovely, the staff were friendly, and we’ll definitely be back!

Every now and then you come across a little unexpected gem. If you’re looking for a delicious Thai meal that is super fresh and tasty, look no further. We enjoyed every dish. No regrets eating here.

Been living in Qld 5 years and by far the best Thai i have had! Sauces actually had texture and you could taste the ingredients.

The food was nice, but expect to be charged extra 15 to 20 percent tourist tax. We sat down ordered off the menu given to us. When we queried why the bill was 134 not 112 according to the menu and specials board. They explained that dining in was more expensive than takeaway price. We were caught by surprise to be charged an extra 24 dollars than the menus stated. We’re from Cairns and never had this experience before.

Best Thai food I've ever had, and beautiful patio.

Had a nice dinner here curry puffs tasty bit disappointed with the prawn and tamarind sauce dish (as where battered) and a half cup of steamed veggies a let down also and "where's the sauce" not enough sauce for anything that we had entrees included. I'm not saying the food wasn't tasty and nice but a couple of let downs but enjoyable. Wheelchair accessibility: All one level
